AIRPORT INFORMATION

Taipei has two major airports:

  • Taoyuan International Airport (TPE): Located about 45 minutes west of the Taipei by car. It is the destination of most international flights coming into Taipei.

  • Songshan International Airport (TSA): Located in the heart of Taipei, with quick and easy access to the city. It is a smaller airport that serves fewer international routes, with flights to China, Japan, Korea, and within Taiwan.

Multiple ground transportation options are available to take travelers from the airport to their destinations:

  • KKDay and Klook offer competitively-priced private car transfers for pre-booking

  • Uber is accessible via your usual app and connected payment method (a small rate conversion fee may apply)

  • 55688 is a reliable local taxi company with English-speaking operators

  • The Taoyuan Airport MRT offers a direct connection to downtown Taipei. Fares for the purple Express (38 minutes) and blue Commuter (50 minutes) trains both cost NT $160 (US $5).
